Angelina Zurzolo, APC

Hi – I’m Angelina, an Associate Professional Counselor (APC) with experience in community mental health, residential care, and private practice. I work with adolescents (14+) and adults who are carrying a lot—grief that lingers, anxiety that won’t quiet down, uncertainty about who they are or where they’re headed. I know how overwhelming it can feel to move through the world while trying to hold all of that, especially when you’re navigating complicated family dynamics, cultural expectations, or systems that don’t always make room for your full humanity.

I came to this work because I understand how easy it is to lose sight of yourself in the middle of surviving. My own experiences with loss, identity, spirituality, culture, and the tension between individual and collective care shape how I approach therapy. I believe you deserve space to slow down, be honest about what’s weighing on you, and reflect on what’s working, what isn’t, and what you’re ready to shift. Together, we can explore the patterns and protections that have carried you this far and consider where you want to go from here.

Therapy with me is collaborative, warm, and grounded in curiosity. I integrate approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and narrative therapy—tools that help you make sense of your experiences, recognize what’s holding you back, and try new ways of moving forward. I believe meaningful change happens in relationship—not only with ourselves and the people we care about, but within the communities and systems we’re part of. In our work together, we can hold all of that complexity while staying focused on the version of your life that feels most like yours.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of your next steps, I’d love to support you in creating a space where you can lay down what’s heavy and move toward what feels possible. Therapy doesn’t have to be about “fixing” yourself—it’s about reconnecting with who you are and exploring how you want to live, relate, and show up in the world around you. If this sounds like you – I’d love to help. I look forward to hearing from you!
