Insurance & Cost
Do you take insurance, and what plans do you accept?
Yes – to increase access to as many clients as possible, we accept BCBS/Anthem, Cigna, Aetna, and United Healthcare plans. We also accept self-pay and offer sliding scale rates.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, and Discover, as well as cash.
What are your session fees?
Fees vary by provider, service type, and insurance plan. We verify your benefits for you and will discuss copays or rates before your first appointment to avoid any surprises. Insurance and self-pay rates also vary.
Do you offer sliding scale rates?
Yes, we offer income-based sliding scale options to make therapy accessible for clients when appropriate.
Can I use my HSA card for sessions?
Yes, clients may use their Health Savings Accounts (HSA) to pay for session fees.

Are in-person sessions available?
Yes – We meet in-person in Dunwoody for adults in metro Atlanta.
Do you offer telehealth sessions?
Yes – telehealth is available across the state of Georgia.
Services & Client Needs
What kinds of services do you offer?
We offer outpatient-level Individual counseling (18+), pre-marital counseling, business consulting, and clinical supervision.
Therapists & Specializations
What qualifications do your therapists have?
Our team includes licensed professional counselors (LPC), and associate level clinicians (AMFT and LAPC) who are under supervision. Each therapist brings unique focus, expertise and training.
What are your specialties?
We offer trauma-informed care for depression, anxiety, grief, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, cultural identity exploration, trauma, and substance use recovery (including EMDR for trauma), among other issues. We also uniquely offer therapy for business professionals and executives that includes managing imposter syndrome and setting boundaries for a healthy work/life balance.

Yes, or we can help match you with a therapist based on your needs and preferences.

What can I expect at my first therapy session?
Your first session will be a safe, welcoming space where we learn about your goals, background, and what you hope to get out of therapy.
How often should I come to therapy?
Most clients start with weekly or bi-weekly sessions. Frequency will be discussed with your therapist up front and change over time depending on your needs and progress.
Confidentiality & Records
Is therapy confidential?
Yes! All sessions are confidential and protected by HIPAA (Health Information Portability and Accountability Act). Legal exceptions are described for you at time of intake.
Telehealth & Accessibility
How does online therapy work?
We use secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms for virtual therapy. It’s easy to join from your phone, tablet, or computer. Studies show this form of therapy is highly effective.
Do you offer therapy for clients outside of Georgia?
At this time, we serve clients physically located in Georgia, due to state licensing laws.

Do you offer therapy for couples or families?
At this time, Wiser Ground focuses on individual therapy for adults (18+) and pre-marital counseling, with some exceptions to serve couples and families.
Do you offer professional/business consulting?
Yes. In addition to therapy, we offer business consulting for organizations looking to improve leadership and staff wellness.
Cancellations & Policies
What is your cancellation policy?
We require at least 24 hours notice for cancellations to avoid a missed session fee.
